Intellectual Property (IP) Legal Associate

Overview

Cooley LLP is seeking a patent and intellectual property litigation associate with a background in biotechnology, electrical engineering, or computer science to join our nationally recognized IP practice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO and international patent offices.
• Conduct patentability, freedom-to-operate (FTO), and infringement analyses.
• Assist in patent litigation proceedings before federal district courts and the PTAB.

Requirements

• J.D. and registration with the USPTO (Patent Bar).
• Technical degree (B.S. or M.S. in EE, CS, or Biotech).
• 2-5 years of focused IP legal experience.
